Employee Reporting
Geneva cares deeply about supporting victims and protecting its community. Therefore, under College policy, employees who witness or receive a report of sexual misconduct must report the incident to the Title IX Coordinator. Exceptions include employees who are empowered by law to maintain confidentiality, such as those in Health & Wellness Center.
Victims are not required to file a crime report but are encouraged to do so. Regardless of if a victim chooses to report the crime, accommodations or protective measures will be provided if the victim requests them and if they are reasonably available.
In addition to or in lieu of filing a criminal report, anyone who feels they have been the victim of sexual harassment, assault or misconduct has the right to file a report of discrimination with the college at any time even if police conclude they do not have sufficient evidence for a criminal violation. NOTE: Retaliation against anyone who reports sexual misconduct is strictly prohibited. Reports of retaliatory behavior will be addressed immediately.
Filing a Criminal Report
Victims can file a criminal complaint by contacting the Beaver Falls Police Department at 724-846-7000, or in person at 715 15th St., Beaver Falls, PA 15010.
